Meditation

As per Patanjali Yoga sutras, Meditation (along with concentration and samadhi) is a tool for examining the inner world, so as to experience the centre of consciousness. Gross objects and subtle objects are systematically experienced, examined and set aside with non-attachment, gradually moving past the layers of ignorance or avidya.

Meditation is an art of bringing harmony to body, mind and soul. During ancient times, it was often considered way of life, not separate from living and was included as a discipline.

Meditation is not concentration which is about limiting the mind. Mediation is effortless and all inclusive as compared to concentration which is all exclusive.

In meditation, you are sitting quietly and listening to everything, every sound or activity is welcome. Whilst listening to the sounds without judgement you become the centre of the activity, all sounds rush towards you through you and dissolve within you. Then a magical phenomenon happens, and you feel empty, silent and bliss.
